2011 Stormwatch #1 Trailer by David Macho Gomez

After Scott McDaniel’s Trailer For Static Shock #1, I was rather dismissive of the Stormwatch follow-up, since it used more sterotypical super-hero music and had fewer revealing panels on display. Then I saw the ones that followed, and suffice to say, returns were further diminishing. By comparison, Stormwatch received a strong, even harrowing score, nice visuals, and most importantly, quotes from the book that made sense and were enticing when strung together in a montage. Still, it's nice to see comics doing a better job at reaching out beyond the usual circles to pimp their wares...

I'm hopeful that this book will do well. It seems to be getting good buzz.

Aota: indeed it does. There was talk of it having large implications for a linewide crossover. As long as it doesn't turn into "JLA to the rescue" this could be cool.

It apparently involves the hooded girl who appears all over the 52.

Ranked #34 of the New 52 in early sales estimates, despite the importance of the book being hyped in interviews for months as a lynchpin of the shared DC/WS universe. Speculators and latecomers could light a bigger fire under this book than better initial sales...
